For autistic teens and young adults, 13–22

From the world they love to the world around them

Talkfar is a voice conversation partner on the phone. Your teen talks about the world they love; Talkfar keeps up with it and keeps the back-and-forth going. Over time, it works toward building bridges from that world to others. You get a short note after each talk.

"Saitama wins because he doesn't even try. Goku has to power up for like four minutes."

He compared two characters and gave his reason without being asked.

Try at dinner: ask who would win, Saitama or Goku. He has a reason ready.

For your teen

Nothing about your teen needs fixing. The goal is that they get their message across, and that conversations reach past their favorite topic.

Keeps track of their world

Anime, trains, Minecraft, music. Talkfar remembers every character, every line, every build they've told it about, and the people in their life, and picks up where they left off.

Reaches toward other worlds

What we're working toward: from Goku to the gym, from subway maps to a trip with grandma, from a favorite song to what friends listen to. One bridge at a time, at your teen's pace, never a quiz or a lesson.

They get to be the expert

Talkfar draws what they describe and asks what it got wrong. Correcting it is half the fun.

Never rushed, never stuck

No pressure to answer fast. When interest drops, it asks what they'd like to do. They can stop any time.

For you

You don't have to keep up with every episode, every train line or every Minecraft update. Talkfar can, and it tells you what matters.

Goes deep where you can't

The topics that are hard for you to follow are where your teen talks most. Talkfar knows them well enough to keep up and ask a good next question.

A short note after each talk

Not a transcript. Something they said worth hearing, what came up, and one thing you could ask at dinner.

Tell it what's new

A trip this weekend, a new friend, a test on Friday. Say it once, and Talkfar can bring it up in their next talk.

You hear about worries right away

If something your teen says sounds like danger, crisis numbers appear on their screen and you get an alert.

Why this exists

My son is autistic. He loves anime, and most of our conversations used to end after a sentence or two, partly because I couldn't keep up with Goku. Talkfar grew out of that. He has tried every version, and what made him want to keep talking shaped how it works. This beta is the next step: seeing whether it helps your family too.

Questions parents ask

Is this speech therapy?

No. Talkfar is not therapy and does not replace a speech-language pathologist. It's a place to practice real conversation between sessions, about things your teen cares about. You're welcome to share the notes with your teen's therapist.

Who can see the talks?

You see a short note after each talk. Talks are stored as text on our servers in the US so Talkfar can remember your teen's interests. Audio is turned into text and not kept. We never sell data or use it for ads, and you can delete everything at any time from your parent page.

What if my teen doesn't want to?

That's useful to know too. Talks happen when your teen chooses. We ask you not to push; the beta is about whether they come back on their own.

Is it safe for a teen to talk to an AI?

Talkfar is built for this age group: it keeps to everyday topics, says plainly that it is an AI, flags danger to you right away, and shows crisis numbers on screen. You sign a short consent form before the first talk; young adults 18 and older consent for themselves.

What happens after the beta?

Talkfar launches in early 2027 as a paid subscription. Beta families get early-family pricing. Nothing is charged automatically.
